FIRING THE KILN @ ENCHANTED CIRCLE POTTERY

Christine Wight hard at work volunteering to keep the fires going in the kiln at Enchanted Circle Pottery.

Kevin and Jo DeKeuster, owners and artists, fire the kiln four or five times a year. It is an around the clock 50-hour process where they have to maintain certain temperatures. The fire is fed wood and stoked every six or seven minutes during the process.

Enchanted Circle Pottery is located between Taos & Angel Fire on US Hwy 64 between mile makers 268 & 269. Call Kevin and Jo @ (575) 737-9640 for more information or go to www.enchantedcirclepottery.com.

Teri gets ready to hand Christine another piece of wood as Kevin looks on and gives instructions.
