Aislyn Plays Soccer!!

After five days in Red Bay, Alabama, Evin, the PUPS and I were ready to get on the PATH to Katy, Texas. My son, Trent, and his family recently moved there. After a wonderful steak supper at Trent and Amber's, we turned in early for in the morning there was a 9:00 AM soccer game...

Aislyn and Whit are intently watching the game...

...and after the game we walk by the Italian ice on our way to donuts!!!!

Costco's Family of Geese

Evin and I made a trip to Costco in Winston Salem and were we ever in for a surprise...

Father Goose was not happy that we were there.

Mother Goose had eyes for her gosling.

What a special treat at Costco!!

Russell Cave National Monument

On our way to Red Bay, Alabama for work on the motorhome we saw a sign west of Chattanooga for Russell Cave National Monument in Bridgeport, Alabama. A five mile jaunt up a country road and we were there. Evin and I met some really nice people working at the park.

Being springtime, I was hoping that there might be some wildflowers in bloom. I was not disappointed...

A Mayapple in bloom in April.

Couldn't decide which one I liked the best.

The Mayapple bloom is easy to miss if you are just walking along. The leaves above the bloom shade and conceal.

Much larger than actual size.

On to the cave...

Magical. Spiritual. A special place.
Early man's shelter from the elements.
