Kayaking Adventure @ Knights Key!!

Bill and Mary Burnham asked me to record memories for some college students that were school break and came to Marathon to go on a several day kayaking trek to Key West. Within minutes they forgot I was there with a camera and went about getting the task at hand done. The light left a lot to desire and often they were at a great distance from me on the shore. Other than some head shots and the class picture, nothing was staged or posed. I just clicked as it was happening...

Sorry, Dick, but the colors were more than I could resist. Could not pass up an opportunity to paint.

Bon Voyage!!!!

  1. How hard is kayaking? would you suggest lessons - starting in a swimming pool or shallow ocean?

  2. It is not that difficult if you use the correct techniques. Bill &Mary have a great "how to" book. Come to Marathon and Evin and l will take you up Sister Creek to Sombrero Beach.
