Sharon's Rose Revisited

Needless to say, I was intrigued and captivated by Sharon's rose. Contact with four of my RVing friends, especially my mentor, Carol Ann, inspired me to take more photos. As time progressed and the rain showers came and went I returned to the front porch and took a few more shots with my trusty Nikon D7000 in the fading light of day. 

The constantly changing light effected the end results of my work. The same rose's color and texture varied as seen above and below as the sunlight faded near dusk or when the sun hid behind the rain clouds.

This bud's likeness and the similar ones that follow were taken with my Samsung Galaxy 6 cellphone camera.

Sharon's Rose

Yesterday, Evin and I went to visit our "family of choice" in Eden, Mary and Byron. I called Mary while on the way there and she shared with me that she had bought some beautiful flower bushes from a lady near their home. So, Evin and I stopped and bought some flowering plants from Sharon also. As you can see above and below, I took a fancy to a yellow-orange rose.

Not only did we hit a home run with the flowers, we had a great cookout and got to see Jim and his boys also. We really miss our time with Mary, Byron and their kids.

While I was taking the photos it rained, so some are before and some are after the rain.

Eddie Is Gone But Not Forgotten

It is with great sadness that I tell you that Eddie passed away on April 28th. He was only in our lives for seven years, but, what a seven years. He never met a mud puddle he didn't like. 

Eddie enjoyed RVing and going on adventures.

Eddie loved his sisters, Bumble & Doodlebug.

Hibiscus "Window Shopping" @ Lowe's

Yesterday Evin, Eddie, Bumble and I spent a good part of the afternoon at the lake at our new home site. We watched boats and kayaks leave from the marina and were anxious for the day when we would have our own dock and boat. 

Evin decided that we needed to go to Walmart on the way back to the rental house for some groceries, so, I decided to take a few photos in the Garden Center at the local Lowe's Home Improvement Center. The hibiscus were in full-bloom.
