Chinqua-Penn

The PUPS and I took a walk on a PATH at Chinqua-Penn Plantation. It was a beautiful day, just a little late in the season for many flowers. The plantation house is for sale and is closed. So, here are a few photos of what I found interesting.

Okra & Pink

I had never paid attention to okra plants until recently. I noticed that okra has a flower similar to the hibiscus. Nearby I noticed some pink flowers and learned from Mary that they were volunteers from last year's wildflower planting.

Pink beauties.

Back In North Carolina!!

On August 7th, the PUPS and I returned to North Carolina. We had been gone for almost a year. The PUPS let me know that they wanted to stop at the "Welcome Center". Couldn't resist taking a few shots of the flowers that we found on our PATH...

It is good to be back in the
"good old North State"!!

Later we got to Newton and I just had to take a shot of two of my favorite flowers there...
