The first night, June 23, 2012, we boon docked in the overflow area. Even there we had a view of Cerro Pedernal.
The view from the other side.
Cerro Pedernal dominated the landscape!!!!
The name is Spanish for "flint hill". The mesa lies on the north flank of the Jemez Mountains, south of Abiquiu Lake. Its caprock was produced in the Jemez Volcanic Field.
Bill, I am always thinking about your love of flower photos and try not to pass any opportunity...
Our first night's sunset on Abiquiu Lake!!
Just had to end this post with a painted sunset scene...
