Last Night's Sunset

The PUPS, Evin and I have never been in Marathon, Florida, in September. We soon learned that unlike in December, the sun currently sets on the Gulf of Mexico side of the two 7 Mile Bridges. In the winter, the sun sets on the Atlantic Ocean side of the bridges. So, for now, no sunsets with the fishing yacht, "The Green Flash", in the photos. As you will see, the view from the bridge area was not too bad last night.

This photo of the Knights Key RV Park and Marina's beach at the Tiki Bar was taken on 12-12-11. The fishing yacht, "The Green Flash", is on the right side of the photo.

Now you understand why Ferata did not have to twist our arms to get us to come back and work again this season!! It is a "tough" job and place to work; but, someone has to do it.

  1. We love the sunset pictures that you take in the Keys. This looks like a much better place than where we stayed when we were there - the KOA. There was hardly enough room to open our slides and it took twenty minutes and 3 people to get us into the spot (and that was pulling in forward. Enjoy the winter there. It looks wonderful.
