Goblin Valley State Park

The PUPS, Evin and I needed to stop and take a break. For days no matter where we traveled we could see the Henry Mountains. We left Capitol Reef National Park and made a short trip to Goblin Valley State Park. We met a couple in Torrey that suggested we go there before heading to Glenn Canyon and Monument Valley.

Goblin Valley is know for its hoodoos...

...and its terrain that reminds one of the moon or an unearthly planet...

...with wildflowers!!

If you look real close in the above photo you can see our motorhome. It is the dark spot to the right of the white roof.

There were beautiful sunsets!!

    1. Hey Erick! Thank you for your kind comments. Nice people I meet like you inspire me to keep blogging. By the way, I went back and correctly spelled your name in the post I did on you. If you check the last post of this past January you will see another photo of you. I looked for you when I was back in San Antonio, one of my favorite places.Hope all is well with you. Give my best to Keisha. I went back to the bus stop and there were no lights working. Some of its magic was missing for me but I held on to the good feelings I got from meeting you two!!

  2. Hi Steve and Evin! Love looking at your photos and following you on your travels. We are the couple you met at Torrey (Cindy and Garry) After leaving Torrey we headed to Arches National Park, then on to Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley. You will love Monument Valley. Back in Canada now. Take care and Safe Travels.

    1. Hi Cindy! Evin and I really enjoyed Goblin Valley. We were able to go to the Valley of the Gods before the rains came. Did not get to Monument Valley on this trip because of wet roads. We are now in Cortez, Colorado. Not sure if we are going to Abiquiu, New Mexico from here or heading North. I have a friend that is leading a group on a three months trip in Canada. So, we may join her caravan.

  4. What a great spot for camping! Love the landscape around there. I miss the sunshine now - it's been raining for days here in Colorado.
