Georgia O'Keeffe often painted orange poppies. I'm kinda fond of them myself as you will see. In late May and early June I found orange poppies in full bloom in both Abiquiu and Taos, her old stomping grounds. I just visited Abiquiu for the second time. I now understand why she chose to spend the last years of her life there.
I was first attracted to a Taos artist's metal rendition of the orange poppy...
Nearby there were artists' studios with a beautiful garden...
...and in that garden were some orange poppies, Mother Nature's variety!! I could not resist taking a few shots...
Hopefully, Georgia would approve!!!!
