November 3, 2012 @ Huntington Beach State Park

Until Huntington Beach, I rarely got up before sunrise. Huntington Beach was an exceptional place and so I made an exception with my morning routine (sleeping!!!!!). The following photos where taken in an hour or so, just a short walk from our RV...

The time is 6:17 AM and it is before sunrise. The shore birds are already up and at it.

There are low clouds on the horizon. Hence, no green flash this morning. The sun will have to be up in the sky before it can be seen...

The sun finally peeks through the clouds...

Evin, Bumble and Eddies were up with the sun also. Doodle, with her leash tethered to my belt, is with me as I take the photos.

I see a couple and some PUPS coming down the beach...

It is Cecil, Nancy, Trixie and Casey...

...getting their morning exercise.

The sun is up, Doodle and I head back toward the RV...

Wildflowers growing in the sand dunes...

Wildflowers growing on the path back to the RV...

 Kind of got carried away...

What a morning!!!!

  1. Looks like a great park. If we ever get back to the east coast we will have to stay there. I thought you guys were in the Keys for the winter.

  2. We are. We made a road trip for the 2nd Annual RV-Dreams Carolina Clan Rally. It was only a little over 800 miles from Marathon. We had to have work done on the 5th wheel and ended up going to Lazydays in the Tampa area and then bought an Allegro Bus @ North Trail RV Center in Fort Myers. We are now back @ Knights Key RV Resort & Marina for till the Spring.
