Grand Prismatic Springs and MORE!!

Evin and I took literally several thousand photos while we were in Yellowstone. It is quite a task to manage them and select what I put on PUPPY PATHS. I will just try to do the best I can with the time that I have right now. We are in Hickory, North Carolina visiting family and some friends we made at Knights Key RV Park and Marina this past winter. It is a very slow process for me when I do a post. And, I am way behind. What follows are just a few of one afternoon's photos. There is so much more I want to share....

Wayne knew that Howard and I like photos of trees like this, so, he took Evin and me to see this one....

Just happened to be some men spraying for weeds when Evin and I were there. Made for an interesting photo. Thought you might like to see a view of Yellostone Lake. But, on to the Springs....

At first glance the Grand Prismatic Springs don't look too impressive.

A little preview of what is to come....

Not every place was lots of color.

People help give size prespective.

See Evin over the little boy's (in blue ball cap) shoulder in the green shirt and blue jeans?

Notice the cloud reflections? Evin seems to be reflecting in the earlier photo. A penny for her thoughts....

And people reflections, too.

The above photo is one of my all-time favorites!!

Notice Evin in the middle of the photo with the river over her head in the background?

On the way back to the parking lot.

You know me and weeds....

Notice the bison?

Notice the trees growing out of the boulders in the river?

And the flowers/weeds on the bank....

Another favorite on mine....

On the PATH to West Yellowstone....

There is a real reason for the U. S. National Parks Service putting up these signs...

He has his spot and it is cool with a view!!

I started with photo #14 and ended with #405. And, again, this was just one afternoon!! It has taken me hours to do this post. I have to go now for we are grilling out tonight with my father and our friends, Genia and Rocky, at their campground, Indian Springs. It is just off I-40 at exit 119A, just west of Hickory, North Carolina. More photos to come....

  1. We have not been to Yellowstone for a few years. Beautiful pictures. I had forgotten how colorful the thermal features are. Blogwise, it seems as if you suddenly zipped from Wyoming to North Carolina! Enjoy.
