Kayaking in the Keys!!!!

Despite the constant 10+ mile an hour winds that we have been having most every day, Evin and I decided to take fellow RV-Dreamers Bill and Nancy's suggestion and put the kayaks into the water and do some exploring.

In the background to the right is the Sunset Grille and Raw Bar....

Evin is a little concerned that I am getting too close....

Evin on the Gulf of Mexico side of the 7 Mile Bridge....

The northern end of the 7 Mile Bridge, Atlantic Ocean on this side, Gulf of Mexico on the other....

The 7 Mile Bridge from the water, it goes a long way....

Some of our neighbors.... that live in houses....

Some live in high rises....

Some live in the mangroves....others in the water!!!!

Close enough to touch!!!!

Or to see a cute face!!!!

Some swim in the water....to get away from curious kids....

And some have a  choice, RV or boat, as do our neighbors from Missouri....

The photos that follow are also from the boat harbor where we are living....

The mouth of the Knights Key boat harbor with the Tiki Bar and beach to the right...

Notice the pelican "life guards" at the swimming beach?!?!

A nice place to come sit and soak in the sunset!!!!

So you may ask, how does one get here????

Head down US 1 and look for these land marks between Mile Marker 48 and just before Mile Marker 47....

By the way, this is a great place for pizza and live music....

Slow down when you see the Pigeon Key sign and take the next left....

Look for the little "camping sign" on the right and the big "Knights Key" on the left!!!!

You have arrived. The entrance is to the left of the panel truck in the picture!!!!

And yes, Bill, there are some beautiful flowers in the campground!!!!

Believe it or not, Evin, the PUPS and I are on this PATH "in reel life"!!!!

COME JOINS US!!!!

Thanks to Brother- In- Law Zell for encouraging us.
